Back at it Like a Crack Addict...

Not that anyone reads this shit excuse for a blog, but i am going to be trying to keep doing it.

HAPPY NEW YEARS first of all, mine was spectacular, hope yours was too.

SONG OF THE DAY

When i first heard the band Girls, I really didn't like them at all and I didn't understand what the hype was all about. Out of need for new music, I downloaded the album the other day and i regret not giving this album a chance earlier because it has become one of my favorite albums of 09. The song that caught me was "Lust for Life"...which is not an Iggy Pop cover. The thing that got me most about it was the lyrics which are kind of confusing, but theres a story behind them. I don't have to tell you, you can do the research on your own.
Anyways, this band Girls totally fuckin' blew my mind with this album and they even have an X rated music video which is interesting. Despite the cock thats shown, its really tasteful and well put together.

This isn't actually the official video. If you want the real one (raunchy) click here.

Everythings better in another county...

I fuckin' adore Mill Valley, California with an intensity. I love my friends, my family, my street, the weird ass weather, the unnecessary multitudes of yoga/dog/ cupcake shops...everything. But, once in a while its nice as tits to get the fuck out of there. That's why i come up here to Humboldt (Blue Lake and Arcata to be specific). I get time to sit back an unwind and think about shit and not have to worry about school and shit.
If you get time, i suggest you spend some time behind the redwood curtain at some point in your life.

Tonight i saw this movie "It" from the 20's..it was a silent movie and my cousin was playing tuba in the orchestra that was playing the score for the movie. I wasn't too thrilled to go see it until i realized that the main actress was Clara Bow whos a total babelette....from the 20's.
Possibly my new squeeze...next to Brody Dalle and Zooey Deshanel.

Todays auditory suggestion is called "Henney Buggy Band" by Sufjan Stevens. The dudes been around for a while and everyone knows about him, but GOD DAMN....have you ever heard another sound like his? i think not. the dude has like a full orchestra. he'll make you cry your eyes out and split your sides with laughter at the same time. Theres no one else out there like this dude and for that, i love him.

"Wait folks...theres a ligt at the end of the tunnel!'

My weekends have been pretty damn sexcellent for being grounded to be perfectly honest. I've been getting shit done and having fun....yuhhhh...not much more to say about me at this moment

This video is off the soundtrack for the new movie "Where the Wild Things Are" which was everyones favorite childhood book. If its not out yet it should be soon.
Karen O from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs did the whole soundtrack and it rips like a fat mans panties.
If you like what you hear, you can download the album for free herehttp://www.mediafire.com/?1jwmnmnbwgo

HAVE A GOOD WEEK EVERYONE!

tooat019, originally uploaded by Baloo..

This is a picture i took on a farm... no, the dudes no naked. i just used a polarizing filter so it turned out all fucked up but i like it any way.

The song of the day is "The Breeze" by Dr. Dog off their most recent album Fate. I fell in love with Dr. Dog at the end of last school year and i deemed this album my summer album. I really dig their older stuff too like "We All Belong" and "Adeline" off the album "Toothbrush" is a personal favorite as well.
They're playing this Sunday at "Hardly Strictly Bluegrass" which is a free concert in golden gate park. I wish i could go but unfortunately im still grounded. Lame...
Enjoy!

"Today the dropouts were smarter than the PHD's as they took off with everyone cars, without the keys"

Today, i had a meeting with my school counselor, which every senior does, about college. Within this meeting we discussed my overall GPA(horrible) and SAT scores(terrible. The conclusion of the meeting was that i will most likely not going to college. I'm gonna apply anyway, but the truth is, i really have no interest in going to college. We live in this county where it's expected to go to college right off the bat and i say FUCK THAT SHIT. My family doesn't have the money and i wanna fuckin' do shit. i wanna work, i wanna see the world...ill go to school when i want to. fuck all of you and your early apps. and your BMWs on your 16th birthdays and your parents with enough money to pay like 8 tuitions. fuck all of you and your fuckin' perfect grades...fuck all of you.

on that note...enjoy this song from Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains. my friend showed me them today and i really dig them. i've been listening to folk-punk for awhile when i first heard This is Bike is a Pipe Bomb back in the day. I've listened to this album like 3 times already and i DIG. They don't give a fuck, they like getting drunk and fucking shit up, just like me. And no, they don't need a drummer, or a bassist for that matter...a guitar and a trumpet is all they need.
They talk a lot about how fucking up and being fucked up is better than going to school and living the regular materialist lifestyle that seems to be the norm now...and after today, i would have to say i agree...not that im saying i want to be a complete fuckup...but i don't want to go to college and im willing to take whatever life throws at me in the mean time.

suck on my nuts mill valley

Rockers+Starfucker

Last night (while everyone else was out partying and i was stuck inside) I watched a really good movie called Rockers... I didn't know what it was when i picked it up, but im glad i watched it. It's about this drummer in Jamaica named Horsemouth who keeps getting fucked with by these dudes with hella money and hes just struggling to make ends meet.
Its one of the best movies i've seen in a long time and it has a killer soundtrack if your into roots reggae.
heres a clip from the movie after he gets fucked with. yay for non-violence!!

I've been listening to Starfuckers self titled album for a while now, but just in little bits and pieces...this weekend i really took the time to sit down and listen to the whole thing word for word. Its a really enjoyable album and i suggest you take a look. They have a really unique sound, they're from Oregon(w3$+ C0@$+!!!) and you gotta love the name. unfortunately, according to thier myspace, Starfucker has realized that their name is holding them back from achieving popularity amongst certain demographics who aren't a custom to astrological profanities. So...they're changing their name after their next tour but here's the best part...they want they're fans to pick the name...pretty cool I'd say. Check out their album Starfucker and heres my favorite cut off the album called "German Love"
